How Long Does Body Sugaring Last?

If you have never been sugared before, you might be wondering just how long you can enjoy the sensation of completely smooth skin. We know how addictive sugaring can be once you get the first taste of bare and flawless skin. Prepare to mark your calendars for the very next session before you ever leave the shop. The question is, how long will it be before you need to pop into the sugaring shop again?

Everybody is a little different when it comes to the length of time between their sessions. In general, most people tend to go four to six weeks between their sessions. Much of the variation depends on the area of the body you are having sugared and how quickly your hair grows back.

People who take supplements like biotin or Sugar Bear Hair vitamins might need to get sugared more often. These supplements encourage rapid hair growth so you can grow thicker and fuller hair on your head, but it might catch on in other areas too. Even eating certain types of foods such as omega-3 fatty acids can make your hair grow faster. In most cases, there are too many variables to accurately determine the ideal length of time for every person to wait between their sugaring sessions.

You know that it’s time to head back to the shop for another sugaring when your hair is between 1/8 inch long and ¼ inch long. This is the perfect length for us to apply the all-natural paste to remove the hair. Your hair is still in the early stages of its growth and attached to the follicle wall. If we continuously remove hair while it is still in this stage of development, the follicle wall may eventually collapse.

Does that sound painful? It’s actually a reason to rejoice!

When the follicle wall begins to collapse in on itself, it means that you won’t be able to regrow hair in this spot. Your sugaring will become permanent at this stage, but it might take some time to get here. At any rate, your hair will at least start to grow back slower and much thinner than it did before you started getting sugared regularly. The key to achieving these desirable results is to stay on top of your sugaring sessions. Don’t let the hair grow too much in between sessions or you’ll miss out on the opportunity to make smooth skin permanent.

How long does body sugaring last? In a nutshell, most people will have smooth skin for roughly four to six weeks when they first start sugaring. Many people eventually see permanent results that mean they never have to be sugared again. Getting to a permanently bare state will take time, but it’s well worth it to have this smooth skin!
